The Christmas Poetry Supplement from the Poetry Book Society for the years 1975 to 1980. The Poetry Book Society was founded in 1953 by T. S. Eliot and friends, including Sir Basil Blackwell, "to propagate the art of poetry". They began releasing a Christmas Poetry Supplement in the late 1950s which ran until the late 1980s, then being adapted into an annual poetry review. This collection contains poetry from writers such as: Ted Hughes, Stuart Montgomery, Fleur Adcock, John Fuller, Elizabeth Bartlett, C. H. Sisson, D. J. Enright, Robin Munro, and Robert Preston Wells. Compiled by members of the society, including Dannie Abse, Stuart Montgomery, Colin Falck, Patricia Beer, Douglas Dunn, and Peter Porter. With notes on the contributors to the rear of some volumes.
